The Solana Beach School District Band is open to all fourth through sixth graders in the Solana Beach School District.
The Summer Academy is a program extended by invitation only to select Solana Beach School District students.
MONART DRAWING: Drawing Music with Monart
Ex: famous musicians, famous artworks inspired by music, collage & crafts, drawing musical instruments, and more.
In this Monart drawing class, students will explore music history from musical instruments to famous musicians, while learning the Monart drawing method. The Monart Drawing Method teaches students of all abilities that drawing is a teachable skill at which anyone can be successful. Monart Instructors will guide students with step-by-step instruction in a non-competitive and non-threatening environment, leaving room for individual creativity. Students will also be exposed to a variety of media techniques such as oil pastels, colored pencils, watercolor, markers, and more. An academic fact sheet on the subject being covered will accompany each lesson.
